OUR STORY

Built on faith, hope, and compassion

Safehaven Counseling Center of Idaho was founded in 2018 by Tina Martindale, LCSW, on the belief that real healing happens through compassion, connection, and hope.

Today our team of Christian counselors and coaches cares for individuals, couples, and families in Meridian, the Boise area, and across Idaho, with faith as part of that care for anyone who wants it.

THERAPY METHODS

There’s more than one way to heal

What helps one person may not help another, so we don’t use a one-size-fits-all approach. Your counselor draws on proven methods and shapes them around you.

For trauma, EMDR helps the brain reprocess painful memories. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a gentle way to understand the different sides of yourself. Gottman couples therapy improves communication and rebuilds trust. Our individual counseling includes teen counseling drawing on CBT, DBT, and somatic therapy.
