I hold a Psychology degree from Liberty University and a Master’s in Social Work from Northwest Nazarene University. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with over 25 years of experience, I specialize in Christ-centered counseling for trauma, addiction, and mental health. I’m trauma-certified in Idaho, trained in EMDR and Internal Family Systems (IFS), and credentialed as a Certified Sexual Addiction Therapist (CSAT) and Certified Partner Trauma Therapist (CPTT).
At SafeHaven Counseling Center, I offer a holistic, faith-based approach—integrating emotional, physical, and spiritual care. I’ve had the honor of walking with individuals, couples, families, children, and first responders through seasons of deep pain and growth.
Whether you're facing anxiety, addiction, relationship struggles, or past trauma, I provide a safe, prayerful space to explore your story, deepen your faith, and rediscover hope. My mission is to support your healing journey and help you step into the life God has prepared for you.
Areas of focus: trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, relationships, OCD, PTSD, eating disorders, sexual abuse, and spiritual concerns.
I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC-7451), Certified Addictions Counselor (CADC), and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with over 30 years of experience supporting adolescents and adults through addiction, trauma, and mental health challenges. I’m trained in EMDR, Level 1 Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Level 1 Gottman Method Couples Therapy, with certifications in trauma and crisis care.
I hold a bachelor’s from the University of Minnesota and a master’s in Clinical Mental Health from Walden University. Since 2008, I’ve specialized in helping adults in the criminal justice system. My approach is compassionate, practical, and grounded in creating a safe, nonjudgmental space for healing.
At SafeHaven Counseling Center in Boise, I offer in-person sessions in Meridian and telehealth across Idaho. My focus areas include grief, trauma, anxiety, depression, OCD, addiction, and communication. I’d be honored to support you on your journey to healing and wholeness.
I am passionate about mental wellness, physical health, and helping clients build a strong mind-body connection. My primary treatment approaches are CBT and DBT, which support clients in identifying root causes of unhealthy patterns, managing emotions, and developing healthier behaviors. I work with individuals navigating stress, life transitions, relationship challenges, and emotional healing.
As a certified health and wellness coach, I also help clients set and achieve fitness and nutrition goals with a focus on feeling strong and empowered—both mentally and physically. I enjoy encouraging growth, improving communication and self-expression, and supporting parents in fostering healthy family dynamics. Currently, I work primarily online while based in Coeur d’Alene, ID, which allows me to offer flexible care to clients wherever they are.
With 15 years of experience as a therapist working with diverse populations, I bring a unique blend of humor, authenticity, and directness to my practice. Emphasizing spirituality and a person-centered approach, I specialize in life transitions, anxiety and depression, substance use, and trauma. My therapeutic techniques include cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and Rogerian modalities. Currently, I am training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy to further enhance my skills in supporting relationships. My approach is grounded in compassion and aimed at fostering meaningful change in my clients' lives.
